ACTION ALERT: PA HOUSE NEEDS TO PASS INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIP BILL WITHOUT AMENDMENT NOV. 8-10
ACTION ALERT: PA HOUSE NEEDS TO PASS INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIP BILL WITHOUT AMENDMENT NOV. 8-10
This is it! The 2009 - 2010 legislative session ends in November. Any bill not passed by the General Assembly must be re-introduced in the new session and go through the entire legislative process. That means co-sponsorship, introduction, the committee process, and being passed by both chambers. An exercise we don't want to repeat if we can avoid it.
SB 1409, Senator Brubaker’s Industry Partnership legislation, has passed the Senate and needs to be considered by the House Labor Committee and voted by the full House. The House is scheduled to return to session on November 8, 2010, and the House Labor Committee has scheduled a meeting in Room 39 EW to consider SB 1409. We need your help to persuade legislators in the House of Representatives to get this bill passed. Please contact your local legislator, members of the House Labor Relations Committee and House Leadership and ask them to position SB 1409 for an AFFIRMATIVE vote before they adjourn this legislative session.
The legislative members of the House of Representatives can be accessed below. We need a "full court press" to get the legislators to act. Please take a few minutes and visit, call, e-mail or write members of the House of Representatives and ask them to support passage of SB 1409 without amendment.
